Alpha 9 III

The α9 III employs a newly developed Exmor RS™ image sensor that is the world’s first full-frame stacked 24.6-megapixel CMOS image sensor to feature a global shutter system.

The new full-frame global shutter image sensor makes it capable to capture decisive moments that could not have been captured before thanks to the amazing performance such as Distortion-free and the 120 fps High-speed bursts with high image quality.

The high-speed readout of the new image sensor used in the α9 III in combination with the powerful BIONZ XR processing engine allows 120 fps AF/AE blackout-free shooting.

In addition, an innovative AI processing unit is equipped in α9 III which realizes AI-based Real-time Recognition AF that perfectly works with 120 fps AF/AE blackout-free shooting.

This is a game-changer for shooting sports, where rapidly and sometimes erratically moving subjects must be captured. It is equally valuable for portraits too, where fleeting expressions can make the difference between an average and great shot.
