Sony ISS to preview tiny HD OEM camera module at Ifsec security show

Tiny HD camera modules on display 13-16 May, Meeting booth 5/A80, Birmingham NEC

 Sony Europe’s Image Sensing Solutions division will demonstrate a new family of ultra-small OEM cameras for the security and industrial markets at this year’s Ifsec security technology exhibition.

 Called FCB-Micro, the new camera range delivers HD video (upto 1080p, 30fps) and upto 13 megapixel still images from a tiny 16x18mm footprint. The cameras will also house a range of advanced features including face detection, image stabiliisation, distortion correction and Sony’s original ISP and lens system to deliver an exceptional image quality.

 The FCB Micro camera will use a CMOS sensor and is an evolution of the company’s mobile phone modules and standard OEM cameras, delivering the standard-sized FCB module’s renowned image quality, lens technology, sensitivity, long-life and reliability on a tiny footprint.
